Personal Bookmark Manager

This web site will help you organize your internet web favorites in an easy to use personal home page. If you are like so many other people who often work with more than one computer, you probably have experienced inconvenience of having to synchronize some of your personal data, such as browser bookmarks, between them. A lot of information you work with is already accessable via internet but you still need an easy way to get to it. That's why it makes a lot of sense to save your bookmarks online.

The problem with many existing online bookmark services is that they are not the best in usability department, offer cluttered or over-engineered interface, or try to be more than what you really are looking for. This site was developed to address my personal requirements for this kind of service. It aims to be as minimalist as possible while still offering just the right amount of interactivity and eye candy to make it usable in the long run. There' service was designed to make personal online bookmarks convenient to use, without the usual clutter, extraneous features, and poor interactivity common in other online bookmark services. The convenience comes from having the whole page dedicated to displaying bookmarks in several columns. So there's no need to scroll through or fumble with sub-menues to find needed link. Instead, just click on the particular spot on your bookmark page where you used to having the link located. This way you quickly get used to relative positions of different bookmark groups and find them instantly. The site's favicon optionally displayed next to its link can further improve usability.

Below is a demo page with a few sample bookmark categories. You can drag them around and click on favicons and category headings to see how the drag-n-drop positioning and edit functions work. Any changes you make here are not persistent and will be lost with each page refresh. To start saving your own bookmarks you need to create an account. But first, please read through a few quick steps to get you started.
